What Happens On The Indian Wedding Night

labour weekend

What a weekend! Since Monday was an official holiday, decided to drive my Hostfam weekend in their house near Russell. So this is worth it and accordingly we have already set off Thursday, about 3 hours north to the Bay of Islands. Near Russell (hard to believe that was this small village, the first capital of New Zealand) my Hostmum grew up on a farm that is located in a bay. Her parents bought the bay, as in 1947 (approx) emigrated to New Zealand. Now, the bay on the five siblings split up and everyone has their cottage on the beach. It's real unimaginable. One lives right in Nowhere, no city in the area, no other neighbors (up to a house in the neighboring bay, where another family has an even larger estate and buy a helicopter flies)
Incredibly, in the morning to wake up and to look out the window and the Bay of Iceland are at your feet.
On Friday we went out a little down with the boat, John was fishing with Heather's brother, and the rest of the day we have on the terrace, I enjoyed the hammock.
gabs in the evening then a nice family Barbeque at the home of Heather's brother.
I had planned for the weekend, On Sunday a long day trip to make by bus to the Cape Ringa and back, the northernmost point of New Zealand. However, this tourist-buses are also quite expensive, and my bank balance allows me to look at my early summer and not too many issues. However, I wants to see much of New Zealand.
to my enthusiasm had Heather in the house by chance found a coupon for dolphin-watching, the next Wcohe had expired and asked me if she should drive me up the next morning after Russell, so I can take the ferry to Paihia, where the Delphi Tour starts (usually about 50Euro) I was
thrilled and went on the tour the next morning. On location in Paihia I was able to transfer even in "Swimming with the dolphins." Unfortunately, there is no guarantee because there are very strict guidelines on when and where you can into the water.

The trip was awesome. We were lucky to have quickly found a group of dolphins in the Bay, (unfortunately) there was a dolphin baby with us, so we could not enter the water. The next Delphi group was too small dolphins there. Thus we had to leave the watching, but that was an experience worth it!
On the boat I still have a group from the nearby of Wellington to know (the southernmost city in the North Island, about 10h hours from Auckland), who wanted to happen the next day to Cape Ringa. And as fate will, they had a seat in the car yet and I have booked a bus ticket! Since they

on Sunday but did not directly back to Paihia, but north to stay overnight and on Monday to Auckland, I decided to join the trip and come back on Monday so directly to Auckland.
What an adventure!
home near Russell were then quickly packed the stuff in the evening and on Sunday morning at 7 am John brought back to the ferry to Paihia, where I found the other traff again. Four French, two Dutch and a German (of all places named Eve) on
went to the Cape Ringa. A fun trip with some nice stops, if there was a nice view. Otherwise, a very green way with lots of sheep and cows.

The Cape Ringa is incredible. Cliffs, beaches, islands, the pure nature. And despite the crowds of tourists all looks so untouched and left out. After a little hiking / climbing trip we came to a nice beach, but had a few things with no life, so we decided on the 90 Mile Beach to ride, and there to . Baden (16 ° That really is warm enough, at least in the bay of my Hostfam I was swimming on Friday already. Ok, it was a bit cold, but when you get the very possibility, with such a panorama of bathing in the sea? !)

DasProjekt "Ninety Mile Beach" soon turned out to be a great adventure. Originally we wanted to take a path through a forest of the Main Road towards the beach because you can drive along the beach, parallel to Main Road. The only problem was that the forest path, the longer we went there, was getting worse, so we all just sat praying in the car, hoping that this does not take long-term harm. (Apart from the bumps, which leave the stones under the car anyway.) We could only be glad that it was not our own car, but a rental car.
Last but not least ended the forest still in the woods. Not only are we not at the beach, could the problem was needed above all that we can move back again.
Back on the main street said our Dutch (driver) that something was leaking under the car. With the car we were two German and two Dutch. A very funny combination, but unfortunately without a car expert. We decided the next service station visit there and check the car to leave. Easier said than done.
was far and wide, of course, get out at station no service available, except that, overall, found no people, as this area is quite sparsely populated. So we had to Kaitaia where we wanted in a hostel übernahcten crossed. There, we found a couple of truckers, we had to ask for help. Although they told us that they had no experts, but since neither smells the liquid gasoline, green, it would be water from air conditioner - a normal by-product.
Since we have again learned something for life. Who knows when that will be helpful again!

The next adventure was not long in coming. Since it was evening now on, we wanted to go to the hostel and check in there for now. On the way through the Kaitaia we passed a creepy hostel, ripped the curtains hanging down and the Dutch told us more of a friend who had stayed there and everywhere and have found cockroaches prefer to the nearest public toilet is gone, than to use its. Our sympathy to those who live there must be. Not five minutes later we realized that we were already on the right road to our hostel, but the move in the wrong direction. So we were already passed in our hostel. The premonition was convened to certainty and the French Crisis Committee.
call around and tide on a desperate search for a nearby hostel, which was released at this time in a long weekend, only 8 (!) Places, we eventually discovered in a city which in turn 2h sü ; Harmful content. Since there but we wanted to go before the next morning, we decided the way to master yet.
you evening Tour through the mountainous country was a nice route, not to think what would happen if one would lie there somewhere with the car. Without a mobile phone network and with no inhabitants, or even dangerous forest dwellers such as here in Australia.

The backpackers hostel is situated on a mountain, the wonderful view we were able to admire the next morning at breakfast. We had a house with bedrooms and showers and two camping caravans. The problem is that it is still quite cold at night and I in the caravan with my thin blankets had a hard time. Sleeping was not much, until I am at half past six on the idea I got my towel to wrap around my feet, and that helped too limited.
All in all it was still a nice small town there.

In the morning we went to the Kauri forest located on the way from Opononi to Auckland. This made it huge, to marvel at some 2000 year old trees that were worshiped by the Maoris originally. Whether this is still so today, I doubt it. But the Maoris, I'll learn more when I go to Rotorua, the most famous Maori village not far from Auckland.
After walking through the woods we went even further to Auckland. The combination from a general speed limit of 100 on New Zealand roads with the traffic jam near Auckland (on the long weekend we were apparently not the only ones who are attracted by the city to the country) could remove us and the beach stay. There are beautiful beaches but anywhere near here, is not that bad. Arrived in Auckland it was said goodbye while to find my love travel group had their hostel, it was for me, finally home.

Total exhausted from the day it was but still a thrilling encounter, there since Monday, another "foreigner" here is drawn. A Czech, but not very Czech, I think. Type whispering bodybuilders. He is very nice and has at least schonmal the job to get me fit with sports. The first project is: go by bike to school. He wants to buy a bike and I think it is not a bad idea, especially as it could save the high Buskosten. To school I think it is around 9 km, with a hilly route. If I did every day back and forth creating, I need to test first trial before a bike I feared.

What's my job to say, very difficult, my interview was so-so. Pretty hard, since they probably have many applicants. Since I should prove that I am familiar with wines, tell you why I think I could help move the restaurant and explain why I want to work in catering, where I still have no experience there. Most recently, she wanted to know my travel plans, unfavorable, that I said that I wanted to travel over Christmas and New Year's Eve and they just look for this time whom. I meant that I could move too, but I did not feel good anyway. Let's see, they want to report next week.

So now have I but for now enough reported; P

Dearest Kiwi greetings
